Optus and 110mb
I would like it if I could get a few reply's here. There are a couple of members that I know of that can't view the http://fartcan-racing.110mb.com/ site and I'm trying to work out why.
It seems that optusnet is blocking the site and you will need to contact them and ask why your not receiving the whole net.
1/ Is anyone having trouble viewing the http://fartcan-racing.110mb.com/ site? Do you get a timed out error message? and are you with Optus or who are you with?
2/ Is there anyone who can see the http://fartcan-racing.110mb.com/ site who uses Optus?
Thanks guys hopefully we can get this sorted.

I'm on ATT in the USA and have no problems. Have they tried doing a traceroute?
Also if they can find a free public proxy they should be able to get there even if their ISP is blocking.

Re: Optus and 110mb
I have put up a new site at 110mb that does require you to give a user name and password. The forum user name & password wont get you straight in...you will need to register.
Re: Optus and 110mb
For those that are having a problem and are with Optus you will need to contact "iWeb Technologies Inc" on this email "net-admin@noc.privatedns.com" and let them know that you pay Optus to view the web but can not view http://fartcan-racing.110mb.com
what can be done to fix the problem.
here is a response from the Optus tech support.
Cheers

Re: Optus and 110mb
Not unless I start a new site on at another company. I'll look into it thou.
I have noticed that you are a member at 110mb. How did you create that? It was with a proxy wasn't it?

Re: Optus and 110mb
Yeah, I tried several proxys, I was able to create new accounts, but unable to actually login....? The lag associated with proxys was prohibitive and meant the site never loaded.

Re: Optus and 110mb
the following is an email i recieved form optus to double check to make sure we were emailing the right people about the problem
Thank you for your email.
The email address is correct. If it wasn't being delivered at all, you would be notified
and advised. If you haven't received any mail delivery failures, then someone is getting
the emails you are sending.
The error you're receiving has to do with the contact to the server, not the actual
webhost. This is why Ben provided the contact email address for the server administrator.
