New Guy, and wants to race

Hi all Bovi here, new to Sim racing and other than AI I have never raced. I do a lot of racing on Rfactor against the AIs and can consistently place in the top 5 of a 30 car field.

I'm looking to jion a league for fun loving newbies and am hoping you can fit me in as a regular or perhaps an alternate to fill in when the regulars skip a week.

What I want most of all is to race for fun in a league where a mistake is not a "death sentence", most of all fun

hello and welcome, im sure if u just head over to the leagues link and see blank spots next to the vehicle numbers u should be sweet to pick one and join in the fun. the best league for starting would be league 2. Catch u on the track.

If you are new to on-line sim racing you have come to the right place. Our V8 championship started last week and the next round is tonight. If you can get on one of the servers today we can try and work out which League you fit into. I'm guessing League 2. Try the League 2 server for now. You will need the latest version of FVRV8 1.6b (released saturday) get it here and the Bahrain track get it here

EDIT: Also you will need a headset with mic so you can join us on Ventrillo and hear whats going on.

On the homepage you click the FartCan Forum button and then below choose the forum you want the rFactor or the new GTR EVO...hope that helped

Sorry I didn't get all the great replys until this evening. I have installed the FVRv8 10 rev 16b add the ventrillo sw.

a question or two.

Is the race server left online and running or is up just for races.

I'll dig around and try to find the IP... and give it go if I can find that stuff

The servers are up 24/7 ATM server 1 is set for WTCC which starts next Monday. Server 2 is set for FVRV8 1.6b ready for our Thursday night enduro.

You should be able to find the servers in the server list under "FartCan-Racing.110mb.com" with S1 or S2 at the end. or if your having trouble

Just jump on the server at night usually some guys in there who will help you get everything setup. Get some practice, and your ready to race. What are you using Steering Wheel, Hand Controller.

I have a Genius F1 wheel and pedals, I just built a new system

Intel Quad core i5
giga-byte H55 Mother Board
4GB DD3 memory
I'm using the internal Processor / H55 chip Set graphics (new to this Processor).

The graphics are kick butt good and I see not reason at all to buy a separate graphics processor as nothing I have done even taxed the 4 core processor.

I have had Race 007, photo-shop, dream-weaver and outlook all running and the system never blinked. So far I really like this new chip set and processor

very nice system. The only problems you will get is your own driving

I've not heard of that wheel and pedal system, Nice computer specs.
