XGN V8 Supercar Clan Challenge

Ok guys I've challenge another clan, to a V8 supercar Challenge.

I use to race with these guys and they are just a real good bunch of guys led by Glen73.
Some of yoiu have gotten to know Flattop, he's from XGN so that's the quality of these guys.

I went on there site and in true Aussie tradition did a bit of sledging to fire them up, so we'll see if we get any shots fired back at us.
Just remember this is all in good fun.

OK here's the deal we need to come up with a Time and Track for this, could be a teams race driver swaps etc or maybe some sprint races. The format is yet to be decided. But this should be a ripper they've got some lightning quick drivers, and they race with the same driver standards that we employ, They've only be using the V8's since the 2010 Mod was released so this is a good time to challenge them, Make no mistake they are very fast.

good idea Dave. You are right about them being fast! We should be able to give them a run for there money though.

How about Eastern Creek or Phillip Island 2 x 25 min races.
Qualify for race 1 (maybe 10 shoot out as well)
Finishing positions for race 2

I.m liking the sound of that Nib, great tracks personally I like philip Island better of the 2, but that;s just my opinion.

ive got a couple of fartcan cars done up how many people from here are planning to challenge...i will do the FCR skins if they are being used

Yeah that's a good idea too Lachlan, The V8 track would be good
just have to be sure there are no glitches, might be better at somewhere we know is stable.

What nights do XGN normally race?

Yeah they run Wed is thier main night, Thursday Special Events and Sat V8's They'll fit in with us providing it's not Wed.

Yeah that Thur is probably our earliest option, unless we do a Sunday night as Lachlan suggested.

yeah the one after the enduro so then we would have just had a massive amount of practice and hopefully be up to the speed.....will it be a 2 per car combo or just the 1>?

NO SPRINT TYRES
quali position for the quali part a race
sprint race 15 laps where the nominated a driver is in car-quali race
sprint race 15 laps where the nominated b driver is in car-quali race
then an enduro at whatever track 3 hours.....
in ONE of the quali races the drivers MUST PIT-to their choice who does

so we run it sort of like phillip island in real life, as the quali races would stir things up a bit as it would be strat and speed

Yeah Lachlan, the team-within-team concept would add another dimension, I prefer to see more cars on-track though.

Also, we'd have to polish up our driver-swapping skills, mine aren't so good.

Not sure exactly what you mean, its abbreviated a little too much for me too work out, please fill in a few more details.

yeah team in team concept....two drivers per car ........ i am sure our swapping skills will be polished easy, even made chrome i know it would be a big commitment and you only would need to do a minimum of something like 30% of (3 hours) = 54 minutes or even longer.....

i am thinking we run the weekend like they do in real life at Phillip island...we have our normal 20 min qualifying session, then we goto a race, if we are doing 2 drivers per car, the drivers decide between themselves who does what qualifying race, each driver MUST do ONE of the races....in ONE of the qualifying races there MUST be a pit stop, this can be done in race 1 or race two (strategy game)...we (nib coz he's cool with that stuff) take the results and mash them together for race 3, the team with the highest average finish in both races gets pole using a points system...for example i can do race one and win it but then the second person(nominated b driver, nothing to do with skill) can do race 2 and need a pit and end up finishing 5th and that is how the grid is determined for the race 3, then we goto race, get where i am coming from??
