Re: Brands Hatch Post Race Chat
Not sure what has happened to make you say all this Dave but i think you will find the majority of us are happy to race with the fixed setups. I guess the more people a clan gets in it the more opinions you get but i for one am happy however you organise it. This clan is what it is because of the way it is run so i hope you can resolve the issues you have and we can keep racing.

Alot of the hacks won't complain about it here, they'll just peel off as has happened in other clans. Obviously the fast guys like free set ups which i can understand but I reckon that should be the option when we get enough numbers to split a league.
IE like when we all decided to run to a new mod and we start registration's, the standard is a fixed set up in the spirit of fart can, however as soon as we have enough numbers registered to run two leagues (as we seem to most of the time) then league one fast guys can run free set ups and reduce/eliminate driving aids if they wish!? What do you guys think about that concept?

Great idea Sulio.....but I'm happy to go along with anything admin decides...without these guys nothing would happen...unless I'm missing out on something.. this seems to be an over reaction to a simple statement.... because the comments are very positive about how things are being run....keep up the good work!

Re: Brands Hatch Post Race Chat
I have raced and race in a few other leagues and I have to say that this is the BEST....
A lot of the other leagues just take it too serious! What i enjoy here is that I have been made feel welcome and a part of the team..... The odd hiccup here and there with grids, weights etc. and the banter on vent is refreshing.... Racing here is worth the later night (as I am 2 hours ahead)........ appreciate what you have here guys......

Yeah, well put Almac, and thanks for the vote of confidence, but I have to confess to being the author of one of those PM's so I don't think I'll be getting called up any time soon.
As you may recall I questioned the penalty system, hoping to have fewer incidents, and I was satisfied with the explanation of why no changes would be made and I regret adding to Admin's feeling that ppl were dissatisfied. In my defence, I think its only natural for ppl to want to add to their environment, even if they're happy with it.

Re: Brands Hatch Post Race Chat
Hey Guys,
WOW!! there is some great feedback in this thread, but what really stands out to me is the orginal Philosophy of Fartcan - Fair and Even Racing For EVERYONE!!
I have raced with 2 other Calns (Adrenalin and Tyka) which just became a blood bath of biterness, anger and agression which I guess when online is easy to do because you can hide behind your computer . This super competitive environment just made me want to turn off my PC immediately after every race and take a few days off! Online racing should be a buzz and really it was no fun.
I joined this clan to race against everyone else in exactly the same car - Since joining Fartcan I have loved every minute and as KIWI mentioned a late nighter is a pleasure...(I always go to bed feeling pumped and excited).
I certainly dont have the skill (or time) to set up my own car just yet but I feel confident in the fact that I cant blame a poor set up for a bad race or lap. As they say a good tradesman wont blame their tools. Taking out the question mark of Set ups has improved my driving skills remarkably and I would probably leave this clan if that was to change.
I would however be happy to help and/or learn with some of the more experinced drivers on the non racing nights inorder to develop a set up for the whole group.
For example:
Robzee could work with someone to develop a fix set for the seat TDI
Jimbob could work on the BMW with someone
Nib on the Volvo, etc
Either way every should be racing in the same set up.
Keep up the great work Admins! I am loving every league here!
Cheers
Gab

Re: Brands Hatch Post Race Chat
Thanks for the support fellas, I've got a whole new lease on life and I'm excited about where we are headed as a clan, No big changes just more of the same but with better formats and some new ideas from Ash and Sulio who have really stepped up to help me, we are going in the right direction, and I've now got over my little Hissy fit. so appologies to all. But Dave'o is back in town and FartCan is on the move again.
P.S. I know what you mean about the missus, mine wouldn't even be happy if I had a Chocolate Dick that ejaculated $100 bills.

Re: Brands Hatch Post Race Chat
Very pleased to read your previous post DaveG, thank you for the making this the fun race clan it is, and no need to apologise mate, with the level of commitment I have seen here, it doesn't effect my opinion of you.
Look forward to the "new ideas" from "Los Amigos Tres",
Bruce.

Re: Brands Hatch Post Race Chat
My 2c.
I love the fixed setups, even though I am pretty handy at getting a good setup, because I have more fun knowing everyone is on a level playing field. If people want to race with open setups, thats fine. Get a server, run it and create a league. Don't come to FartCan with your ideas and try to improve it by doing what everyone else is already doing to their detriment.
Fight the good fight boys, an even field for all.
(Except that Seat TDi is too quick, grumble grumble )
